Operating Instructions of Vacuum Cupping Device

1. Identify the affected area or acupuncture point based on personal needs.
2. Choose the suitable cup and comfortable posture.
3. Use the pumping-gun-aided vacuum cupping device to lift the piston at the top of the chosen cup to ensure ventilation.
4. Entangle the piston at the top of the cup with the muzzle of the pumping gun vertically lift the rod quickly for several times until the skin inside the cup swells according to patient’s tolerance
5. For sites like spine and waist which can not be directly treated with vacuum cupping the connector can be applied. Firstly link the larger end of the connector with the bigger hole of the spare mouth then link the smaller end of the connector with the negative pressure muzzle making it an integral part. Entangle the mouth with the end of cup where lies the piston. Put the cup on the intended area as what has been done in step 4.
6. When the cup was sucked on the skin slowly rotate the negative pressure gun to pull it back. Tap the piston in case of air leakage.
7. After the treatment life the piston.
Cautions: Ten to fifteen minutes is ideal for the treatment inmost conditions but 5 to 10 minutes should still offer some benefits to the patients such as the elderly and the vulnerable.

Contraindications

The method can’t be used in following conditions:
1. Cases of high fever convulsions or cramping. The method can be applied during the interval of the treatment of epilepsy.
2. Patients with cases of easy bleeding should be cautious in using cupping in case of hemorrhea.
3. Patients with severe emphysema should not go through cupping on back or breast especially with large-size cupping or high negative pressure gun.
4. Cases of cardiac failure or physically vulnerable.
5. Patients inflicted by bone fracture should not cup before complete healing to avoid influencing the healing process. Those with acute joint sprain should go through test beforehand to check the condition of ligament.
6. Cases with ulceration wound on the skin. Cupping should be timely and cautiously applied during the treatment of acute infection like furuncle.
7. The abdominal area or back during pregnancy.
8. Children under the age of three.
9. Patients with complicated diseases should go through cupping therapy under doctor’s guidance.
